More sleep for Daddy

This is a picture of my dog. It is because of my dog that Daddy doesn't have to get up in the night with me for a whole week. Last night, Daddy was holding me, and let the dog outside to go potty. A few minutes later, we looked outside, and Maverick was doing a funny dog dance.

Daddy said, "What is he doing?"

Mommy said, "What a nut. Who knows."

Daddy took a closer look just as Maverick did a dog twirl by the door. He held on to me tight and said, "It's a dangler. He's got a dangler."

Daddy ran into the other room.

Mommy ran after him and said, "I'll take the baby."

Daddy laughed.

Mommy laughed.

I laughed.

Mommy said, "Please."

Daddy laughed.

Mommy said, "I will get up with her every time for a whole week if you clean up the dog."

Daddy handed me to Mommy.

Mommy smiled.

I smiled.

Maverick continued to do circles around the deck.

Daddy cleaned him up.

Now I get the company of Mommy every time I want all week long. Yeah for me!

Look at me!

Standing is the bomb! I love to stand. In this picture, Daddy is holding me up. It won't be long before I can do it myself though.

Tax Man

Today we went to see the tax man. The tax man lives in a building by the river. He is really popular. He had lots of visitors. When we got there, we had to stand in line for almost an hour before we could see him. The tax man must be mean, because no one was smiling. Mommy said they all looked like they were waiting in line at the post office to mail a package the week before Christmas.

It was so boring and quiet. I decided to practice my sounds. "AHGOOOOOOOOO", I said. Then "UNGAAAAAAAAAAAH". "OOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOH." A few people started looking my way and smiling. They must've been amazed at how well I could talk already. So then I decided to really show them what I could do. I took in a deep breath, and with a furrowed brow, pursed my lips, and "PPPPPBBBBBBBTTTTTTT". Out came the perfect raspberry. They laughed. I did it again. And again. And again. Everyone was laughing. I laughed.

Then we got called to the window to see the tax man and everyone got quiet again. I think I brightened the day for a few people. That was fun.

No Sleep and Sore Legs for Mommy

I am a big girl now. I've decided that I don't need to sleep. Mommy disagrees. Last night I wanted to eat at 2:30am. Mommy fed me. I fell asleep. Mommy put me in my crib. I woke up and cried. Mommy did squats for a while and I fell asleep. Mommy put me in my crib. I woke up and cried. Mommy did more squats. In all, Mommy did squats for an hour. I fell asleep. Mommy put me in my crib. I woke up and cried. Mommy cried. Daddy didn't cry. He let me sleep on his chest. I love daddy. Mommy has sore muscles today. I'll see if she'll make a deal with me -- no more squats if I can sleep with them each night. Some how I don't think she'll agree.
