Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy Birthday to me!

Today Mommy and Daddy had a birthday party for me. Don't tell anyone, but I think they were confused because my birthday isn't for another 4 days. They hung up balloons and streamers on the ceiling. That was a silly thing to do -- How am I supposed to play with them when they are all the way up there? They got clay for my friends to make handprints, and filled a pool with balls to play in. Everyone had so much fun!

I got to wear a really pretty dress. Everyone said I looked like a princess. I crawled up to all my friends and talked to them, and showed them how to play with the legos and balls. Then we got to have cake. Here is a picture of me by the cake that everyone else got to eat.

I had my very own cake made out of rice and applesauce. Here is a picture of it. Mommy tried to light the cake on fire, and then everyone sang to me. Silly people singing while my cake's about to go up in flames! I was getting really nervous about that, but then mommy and daddy blew it out. Thank goodness, because I wanted to eat that cake.

Everyone is so nice. They all brought me presents. I wanted to open them, but mommy and daddy said I had to wait until my real birthday. Ho hum.

My New Ride

My aunt and uncle sent me a wagon for my birthday. Isn't it cool? It has two seats with seatbelts for me and a friend, and cup holders to hold my drinks. Mommy said she had a wagon when she was a kid, but it didn't have cup holders. I wonder what she did with her cup then? I took my friend for a spin around the block in my new wagon. We shared my toys and talked a lot. She liked it too!

MMMMM That's Yummy!

I have a secret. Mommy let me taste my birthday cake. It was the yummiest thing I have ever eaten. It's even better than rice puffs. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but Mommy only let me eat half of it. She said I would get a tummy ache if I ate the whole thing. I love birthday cake. Mommy said she'll make me another one for my party, and again on my real birthday. So I will get three birthday cakes. I am so lucky!

Junior Rose Parade

Today mommy and I went running. Well, mommy ran...I rode in my BOB. We went for 4 miles all around, and then ended up at the Rose Festival Junior Rose Parade! There was so much to see. First we saw a giant bear riding in a car. I waved and went "OHHHHHHHHH." Everyone around us laughed. Then I saw lots of kids marching and playing music. They were banging drums that looked a lot like mine, and blowing on shiny toys. A lot of kids were dancing around with flags and pom poms, and some were even throwing sticks in the air. I really liked that. When we got home, I threw my toys in the air. I hope that if I keep practicing, I can be in the parade when I grow up.
