Busy girl

I've been a busy girl this summer. I've been having lots of fun being a big sister and doing all the things big girls get to do, like:

Conquering the wobbly bridge...

Planting flowers...

Making my brother smile...

My sister, too...

Playing in my sandbox...

And taking the occasional nap. Can you tell we're sisters?

Hope you've had a fun summer, too!

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was my birthday. I got to go to the zoo with Grannie, Mama and Dada. I saw lotsa animals. The giraffes and the monkeys are my favorite. I also got to ride the zoo train through the woods to Washington park. The best part though was feeding the birds. I fed them syrupy sweet stuff from a cup. When the birds stopped drinking, I would say "Drink more birdy" and they would. They are good listeners.

I got lotsa presents for my birthday. My favorite are my sandbox, my tricycle and my books from Rose.

Today I had my birthday party. It was really nice outside so we got to play in my new sandbox and dance in the bubbles. Then everyone sang to me. Here is a picture of me watching mama singing to me. I love my mama.

I love birthdays too. Maybe tomorrow I'll have another one.

I'm a big sister now

Guess what everyone? I am a big sister now! Today I got all dressed up in my sassy dress to meet my brother and sister.

Their names are William and Abigail, but I call them Liam and Abby. I think they are OK, since they gave me a My Little Pony. How do you think they fit that My Little Pony in Mama's belly? Anyway, I was so good at the hospital that I also got to get a giant teddy bear, and some jelly beans. Green ones.

Oh, but about my brother and sister...aren't they cute!

Today I got a letter from Mama.

I decided to steal Dada's Blackberry to write her back:

What I love about spring

Spring is here, and we have been having a lot of fun. Last week, my mama and I hosted the playgroup for an Easter party. We got to color with chalk on eggs made of chalkboard, and we got to decorate foam eggs with colorful stickers. It was my first art project, and dada said he hung it in his cube, whatever that is. We also got to go on an Easter egg hunt. From my eggs, I got a ball, a slinky and some stickers. The best part though was I got to eat rice krispy treats. Marshmellows are yummy. Almost as yummy as jelly beans!

Then, last weekend, a bunny came to our house and left me a basket full of goodies. I got a stuffed horse, a Thomas coloring book, a ball and a new cup! My favorite thing was the ball, until I bit a chunk of it off and mama threw it away. Ho hum. The bunny also left little plastic Elmo eggs around the house. Guess what? Some of the eggs had marshmellows in them. Did I mention I love marshmellows?

It has also been sunny out more, so we've been playing outside. I love blowing bubbles and playing with sidewalk chalk. Most of all though, I love playing with balls. Large orange ones. Mama bought me my very own basketball yesterday because I kept stealing the one that belongs to the kids next door. I love basketballs, and am really good at bouncing them. I bounce them to dada, mama, Maverick and to my friends. Then I take them back and bounce them again.

Making Cookies

The other day, I got to make cookies with my Mommy. She has been wanting to make cookies with me for a long time, but it's hard to make them without regular flour, butter, milk and eggs. Daddy found a mix at the store that is safe for me by Namaste. Mommy let me stir in the applesauce (instead of eggs) with the flour. That was oodles of fun, especially when I got to fling the applesauce at the wall!

Then, we made little balls out of the dough and cooked them in the oven. The oven is magic, because when we took them out 10 minutes later, the balls were gone, and in their place were cookies! At first I was mad, because I had never had a cookie before, so I didn't know that sometimes cookies are better than balls. Then, Mommy and I ate one. MMMMMMMMM. That was Yummy! I ate three. Don't tell anyone -- Mommy even let me have one at breakfast the next day!

Snow Day!

Today was a snow day! This week was my first time playing in the snow. It's fun to play in the snow. Lots of kids on my street were sledding. I am too little to sled. I carried my snowball all the way down the street to watch the other kids go down the hill though. Then I decided to eat it. Snow is yummy.

Mommy took this picture when I wasn't watching and sent it to the KGW, a local news station. They put it up on their website!
