I am funny

I am funny. I must be, because Mommy and Rose were laughing at me today. A lot. It all started when I was getting my diaper changed. I didn't want to get my diaper changed, so Mommy tried to distract me by brushing my hair. All of a sudden, they were cracking up. So, I started laughing too. They laughed harder. Why do you think they were laughing so much?

Imagine my surprise when they took me to the bathroom mirror and I saw this bow on my head! At least I have enough hair that Mommy didn't have to tape it up there.

What did Mommy eat?

Today Rose came over. She gave me a bottle but it didn't taste right. I took a couple of sips, spit it out, and made a funny face. It was different, but the same. I tried it again. There was definitely something different about the content of this bottle. I wonder whether mommy ate something funny.

The stranger thing was that Mommy was standing right there, and she made me drink the bottle without my shirt on. What a weirdo.

I was hungry, so I drank the whole thing. Mommy was happy, but acting nervous. Then she set the timer for an hour, and told Rose to hold me while I napped so that she could watch me. I don't know why Mommy was acting so strange, but it was nice to lay on my friend instead of in the crib. I woke up in such a happy mood!

When I woke up, Mommy was telling Daddy on the phone that she added a little bit of soy formula to my usual bottle, and that I was doing great. She sounded really happy.

My mommy is a copycat

My mommy wants to be like me. She has her own blog now.

la la de dah...

I love music! Mommy took me to a class today where we got to sing songs and dance. There were other mommies and babies there, too. Mommy was worried about singing off tune, but all the other mommies were singing off tune, too. Imagine that -- a room full of mommies singing off tune. Maverick would not have liked it very much!

Anyway, it was a lot of fun. Everyone sang hello to me, and we sang a couple of songs with my name in them! I even got to show the other babies how to sing. I know how to sing la la la la la la really well. I also growled at one baby and made him cry. It was actually more of a roar. I was sorry I made him cry. I was just trying to be his friend. We got a CD with the songs to practice for next week. Hurray!

Ouch

Mommy took me to see the nurse today. She was not dressed as a bee this time. But she stung me anyway. Three times. There I was smiling and babbling away. "Ah, how cute," she said. I looked proudly at Mommy when all of a sudden I was stung. Mommy said, "It's ok, Chloe," and wham, the nurse did it two more times. That's not very nice.

Sleep Demystified

For weeks, I have been waking Mommy and Daddy up every 45 minutes to an hour all night long. They were lucky to get me to sleep a two hour stretch. They tried everything...white noise, a co-sleeper, letting me sleep with them, holding my hands down so that I wouldn't scratch myself awake, music, extra feedings during the day...blah blah blah. I tried to tell them. I was very clear really...
LALALALALALALALALALALA...
DADADADADADADADADA...
AAAHHHHWOOOOO...

I just wanted to sleep in my own bed, in my own room, on my side, not my back. They finally understood me and let me try it out on Sunday. I have been sleeping for longer stretches every night this week. Last night I only woke up once for Mommy to feed me all night long! The world looks a little brighter to all of us today!

How many licks to get to the center?

New Year's Resolutions

Mommy, Daddy and I went to a coffee shop today to make our new years resolutions. Mommy and Daddy want to run more, eat less, and save more money. Here are my resolutions:

1. Grow teeth
2. Crawl
3. Catch my dog
4. Sleep through the night
5. Gain 10 lbs (Mommy says I can have hers -- isn't she nice!)
6. Get this drooling under control
7. Learn to use my opposable thumb (that's a big word)
8. Walk...no...run!
9. Get all five toes in my mouth
10. Figure out how to get milk to come out of my thumb, Tigger's tail, and my rattle from Twist
